Oracle Charter School. The future of learning.

Program Features

Arts Integration Technology Integration Community
Teaching and learning in and through the arts provides students and teachers, in collaboration with working artists, an opportunity to explore difficult subject matter through arts-based projects and activities. 21st Century students need access to 21st Century tools, and education and technology should go hand in hand. Oracle Charter School provides all students with access to the kinds of computer technology and skills that define success in modern schools and workplaces. Oracle Charter School values students as young adults worthy of respect and attention. Our advisory system assures that students' academic and social needs are met. Our Morning Meetings provide opportunities for public speaking and reinforce peer respect.
Small Class Size Challenge Weeks High Standards
Oracle Charter School will keep class sizes at no more than 20 students per classroom. Small class sizes allow all students to participate, stay focused, and receive the feedback and support they need to thrive. Special programming during school-wide Challenge Weeks provides students with support and enrichment to achieve high standards. Additionally, a Writing and Tutoring Center supports students' developing skills. Oracle learning standards in English Language Arts go beyond those established by New York State, and our program includes challenges such as Latin instruction and a wide variety of Advanced Placement opportunities.
Collaboration Active Learning Responsibility
Project-based learning and discussion-centered classrooms create opportunities for students to explore knowledge, use information to solve problems, express their ideas, and develop important collaborative skills. Education at Oracle Charter School provides connections between the academic disciplines and is centered on a theme, allowing students to increase the meaningfulness of their coursework. Oracle Charter School fosters personal responsibility for academic and community integrity through an Honor Code upholding common academic and social values.
