Goodyear Mansion Part of Delaware Ave. Neighborhood Tour

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Oracle Charter School’s facility, otherwise known as the Charles W. Goodyear Mansion at 888 Delaware Avenue, will be open for public tours from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. during the Delaware Avenue Neighborhood Tour on August 21. Visitors to the mansion will be able to tour the first floor, which features a reception room with a sculptural frieze by Karl Bitter. Also open on the tour will be the mansion’s stunning library, dining room, breakfast room, Conger Goodyear’s bedroom, and Charles Goodyear’s oak and marble office. The tour is co-sponsored by Preservation Buffalo/Niagara and the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. Oracle Charter School is one of 12 other historic buildings and outstanding homes on Delaware Avenue, Oakland Place, and Bryant Street that will be featured on the tour.
